well your making a great decision considering quitting, its the best choice for yourself and for your child, being addicted to opiates(norcos, vicodin) destroys your life and takes every single thing youve ever had away from you eventually and the wd's are pure hell, so stop it before it gets to bad..luckily you are not on a very large dose and hydrocodone is a mild potency opioid so the wds wont be too severe, they wont be a walk in the park but they will be manageable, taper down on the pills as low as you can go then once your as low as you can get then stop taking them you will experience minor discomfort for a few days but at most it will be 5 days and it will be manageable, you can take short term use of a benzo for relief of a lot of the wd symptoms and immodium ad will help the diarrhea issues, and anti-nausea meds really help too, eat really well and drink tons of fluids as well and youll be able to get through this and come on the forum alot of us have been through the same thing and can help u through it...good luck and i know you cans tick with it and do it, stay strong for you and your child-christos
Well, if you taper, you need to do it right and drop 10% your dose every 3-4 days. THat is a proper taper, if you can't do that and you don't do it the right way, you will be in minor w.d throughout the process..So in some cases its better to just go CT and get it over with. Its really your call. Do you have the will power to taper..
