24/7 dizzy for 8yrs straight none stop

Is anyone going threw the same experience that I am going threw? I have been dizzy for 8yrs now 24/7 none stop. I have been to 7 ent doctors and neurologist also. They have done every test in the book amd can not find the problem.  They are having taking xanax, valium, oxycodone abiem, benztropine, effexor, hydroxyzine and risperidone for mental illness that they are saying I'm crazy. I feel alone because I can not drive, work, stand and even go out with my kids anywhere.  I am only 31yrs old and had this since I was 23yrs old and it just happened all of a sudden.  Don't know what caused it all I know I passed out and then I was stuck being dizzy since then.  All my doctor are calling it chronic vertigo,  but I read people get episodes of dizziness that comes and go, but never did. Am I alone with this problem of dizziness and pressure in the back of my head/cloudy feeling?  If anyone can help please talk to me. Thanx.

Smoking?  Always best to quit - I am an past smoker, smoked for 30 years so I know it can be done.  I was at least a pack a day.

Cholesterol of 450 is the highest I've seen, of course I don't see many but I do know that is (almost) off the scale.  You didn't mention taking a statin drug, I take a generic Simvastatin and it is very low cost and effective.  You don't want to get down to 100, but 200 would be a good target.  Mine was never measured any higher than 240.  I took Lipator (was very expensive) then changed to a generic.  My cholesterol now runs about 185, with a good part of that being a high HDL, and high HDL is good, seems to be at odds with going for a lower total,  but that is the case.

You didn't mention heart rate, if it is in the 50s it could contribute to dizziness.  And remember to ask what your Oximeter (Oxygen saturation) number is,should be between 95-100%.  I doubt 100% is possible.  Below 90% is very troublesome and I think critical - need oxygen.  Speaking of this subject: has you doctor ever tried supplemental oxygen?  You've seen people, I am sure, with a small oxygen bottle and clear tubes going to the nose.  I think even trying that in the home would tell you something.

Good luck, hope you get up and around.

When I go to see all my doctors they say blood pressure is good, but I do have very high cholesterol that they are treating me with medication call fenofibrate 160mg I believe is called. I do smoke about 7 cigarette a day,  but I have ask my doctors if cigarettes can be the problem and they say no. Everyone that I know personally was telling me it could be caused by you smoking cigarettes. The only problem that I have that can make me have heart problem is if I don't get my cholesterol level down to the 100's. Last update was 2 days ago from my primary doctor and she said cholesterol level is 450 which I'm high risk of a heart attack. I will ask my doctor if possible not enough oxygen going t to the brain.

You may find help from the
http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Undiagnosed-Symptoms/show/95

I think it worth a try, just cut and paste - while we try not to double post I think your issues may find help in a couple of places... not a one subject issue.

You may get some help here are anxiety related to your type of situation, and it may be that anxiety can contribute to dizziness..I don't know, seems your doctors are trying that approach and treating anxiety/depression.

How is your heart?  Your blood pressure, your heart rate, you oxygen saturation levels?  I'm sure your doctors have checked all these when you are in the office, but you may need a longer term monitor. Most of us with heat problems just check our own HR/BP, even some, me, check our oxygen saturation level.  The heart rate can be checked with a watch and fingers, the blood pressure either by a home device or at the pharmacy every time you in to one.  An Oximeter is not expensive to own as well.

Dizziness is a classic symptom of heart problems...the brain isn't getting enough oxygen.
