ANXIETY AT SCHOOL

Hi, im 13 years old (turning 14)
one month from now. Heres how it started- i was in the 7th grade one day.. and i just felt... sick? Its really hard to explain, and i don't remember every single detail but i began feeling really uneasy and shakey. I went to the nurse and told her i had a stomach ache, which i did have too. My stomach tossed and turned. And i had that "gassy" feeling. Like you have to, well you know. Pass gas. (I know if your reading this, you might laugh a little. And i know, because normally i would have laughed too. Please dont comment saying LMFAO or something like that, because that hurts.) Well anyways, It was on and off from then on. I would just feel really ANXIOUS and always found myself shaking and turning my right foot around to try to easy the anxiety. Weird, i know. But I just do that. And tap my feet sometimes. This only happens in school. Or when im home worrying about my next day at school. I feel a little anxious writing this too, thinking about my anxiety and everything. I love people. I have lots of friends, and im not the most popular girl in school, but im well recognized. This anxiety problem happens in Social studies. Language arts, Math, and sometimes other classes, depending on what were doing. I hate the silence, like when were taking tests, I just cant stand it. I get all red and nervous, with a stomach ache feeling like im gonna fart. SO FUNNY? RIGHT? WELL NO ITS NOT. Im seriously at my braking point. This happens almost everyday. If you need to know more about anything, just ask and ill add some details. Please note this doesn't happen during the summer, weekends, or vacation. Only school or me worrying about school at home. I have no idea whats wrong with me! I cant stand it, sometimes i just sit alone and cry because i cant deal with it. Why does this have to happen to me? Im seriously crying right now. Please, i need some help. I was thinking about getting a counselor. I told my mom, last year that i was anxious sometimes and i felt like i was depressed. She asked why, but i couldn't give a straight answer. I know shes probally forgotten about it. I want to talk to her again. But i need some advice first. My moms an amazing person, but i have a serious problem. Sorry, I never know how to write things without sounding confusing.

Hi,
I think finding a counsler is a good idea.  Some of us have no idea why they get anxiety.  I've had anxiety since I was a baby, so it wasnt really triggered by anything.  Im a senior in high school and I just want you to know I can relate to you.  I get anxious in class a lot.  I get anxious because I hate being called on to talk out loud because I always think im going to sound stupid.  But I know how you feel....almost trapped because when your at school you cant just lay down and relax until the anxiety passes...you have to keep your composure while your in public.  Tapping your foot is a good little tecnique to do.  Also, 3 deep breathes in and out can help.  And..that little space between your thumb and pointer finger that feel like fatty, my psychiatrist told me that just pinching that a bunch of times can help because it has something to do with hormones being released.  Also, If you wear a hair tie around your wrist, snap it a few times.  That can help too.  But I would definitly talk to a doctor or therapist.  Remind your mom that your feeling really anxious.  Dont worry and dont be embarassed to post on here.  We're all looking to help eachother.  I just want you to know that you are not alone, and a lot more people struggle with anxiety than you think.  Good luck!

It seems that school and the pressures to succeed may be part of your anxieties,   a very common situation for many students.      It does sound like you're suffering from anxiety attacks over your feelings about your school studies.    If you re-read what you posted here::::::"A"""""""This anxiety problem happens in Social studies. Language arts, Math, and sometimes other classes, depending on what were doing. I hate the silence, like when were taking tests, I just cant stand it. I get all red and nervous, with a stomach ache................. Please note this doesn't happen during the summer, weekends, or vacation. Only school or me worrying about school at home.""""""""""""
And so it seems you may want to get counseling for """"This anxiety problem"""" as jcook states.
