Am I suffering from anxiety?

Hi, I have had shoulder pain from approx 2yrs resulting from an accident. My doctor referred me to an orthopeadic surgeon in dec 2008, it was dec 2009 when i finally received surgery. I had an arthroscopic procedure called sub acrominal decompression. I cannot tell you in words how painful this was!!!! Unfortunately my pain persisted and i developed a frozen shoulder and i had manipliation under anestetic in march 2010. 6 weeks on from this surgery i am still in a conciderable amount of pain and am convinced that this operation has been unsuccessful. The first 2 weeks after surgery were promising. During week 3 my PT became more brutal and my shoulder reacted badly since then i have lost the movement achieved immeadiately after the operation.
I cannot work due to having a physical job. I am desperatley seeking alternative employment however nobody seems interested and i get knock back after knock back.
I find it difficult to concentrate sometimes because of the pain, the pain keeps me awake at night even though i'm tired, I feel short tempered, I don't socialise as much because of the pain and prefer to rest.I get frustrated because i am right handed and its my right shoulder thats the problem. I am just so annoyed that i have had to put up with this for so long and regret evwer havingf the first operation as i am now in a far worse state. Is this anxiety? I don't have any physical symptoms like palpatations (except when i'm angry) etc.
Thanks

i haven't discussed any of the above with my doctor and the only pain management i am getting is painkillers and physiotherapy.
i know i shouldn't be embarrassed about it..... i just don't know what to say to him or where to begin. when i get ready to make the appointment i tell my self to pull my socks up.... not quite as easy as that though and the last thing i want is to take more meds.
Thanks for your reply

I don't really know if it is anxiety related, but it sounds to me you are stressed out because of the pain in your shoulder (and rightfully so).  Physical pain can definitely make us anxious in my opinion. Has your doctor worked with you to help with pain mangaement at all?
