Hello, I am 29 years old - female - stay at home mom to a 3 year old - I woke up last Friday with a pain in the side of my neck as if I slept wrong. But later I went to take my niece on a walk in her stroller and noticed that the top of my left arm, between the shoulder and elbow has this dull, boring ache to it. (the ache was on the outside of my arm, not the inside part that would touch your chest when it's by your side) - - anxiety immediately kicked in thinking I was having a heart attack....Today, a week later, I am having the same boring ache that persists throughout the day. It comes on w/ stress and activity. When I am at rest I occasionally still feel the ache, but not as bad. My husband thinks it's a pinched nerve - I have looked up all kinds of heart conditions..etc. I had an appt. w/ my doctor about 6 months ago and we did blood work for something completely different - and he mentioned nothing about my cholesterol or my heart, BP was fine, pulse & respiration was fine. I am not one to go to the doctor unless I really need to go. It's embarrassing to go to the doctor only for him to tell me "it's a muscle or pinched nerve" then prescribe me some Lori tabs or some other pain med that I won't even use b/c I don't like how strong pain meds make me feel. - - I have a normal pulse rate, no rapid breathing, no chest pain (besides a little GERD...fun stuff lemme tell ya), no numbness, tingling in my arm - every pain I feel is on the outside part of my arm, not the inside part - but the pain has gone from neck, to shoulder, to elbow, to top of my forearm, and today is in my hand - no swelling or redness - feels like I was charlie horsed in my arm. - - Does this sound heart related or muscle/pinched nerve or my anxiety flaring up?
