Anxiety attack?

I just woke up sweating, and I mean just like I ran a marathon. I looked up night sweats and hunger and came up with hypoglycemic, which could be the rare case, because I have been sick with a cold for the past 2 days and haven't eaten hardly anything. My daughter had left a bag of candy in my room and I ate a tootsie roll and a small peanut butter cup and I am much better. It sure got my anxiety up though. I check my blood sugar regularly and it has never been bad. As a matter of fact, when I checked it yesterday afternoon, wondering how low it was due to my lack of food, it was 86. Wheeeww!!! I was just pouring sweat this morning.

Really, a sinus infection? That is most likely the cause of the extreme sweating.  Feel better soon.

I think you are right. Went to the doctor yesterday. I have a sinus infection. About to start antibiotics

102 is around normal. They want it to be 100 or under when fasting. I'm surprised it was'nt just a little higher after eating the candy. Mine dips down in to the 70's and 80's if I have'nt eaten for a long time and I feel awful.
Are you over the cold yet? Try to eat something every few hours. You don't have to eat a full meal. Just an apple or some kind of snack to keep your blood sugar at a steady level.
The way you woke up could have been a combo of your cold, not eating and anxiety.

I just had it checked about a month ago. I had checked yesterday in the afternoon because all I ate yesterday was a half of a piece a bacon, 2 bites of a biscuit (both in the morning), 2 thin slices of ham for supper. It was 86 after all of that. I ate that candy at around 5:30 this morning and checked it when I got up at 6:45 and it was 102.

I'm glad to hear your feeling better. It sounds like you need to see your Dr and have some testing done. They will be able to tell if you do indeed have hypoglycemia.
