Scared :(

I have been experiencing this strange sensation when I am trying to go to sleep at night.. I am laying down and as I start to drift to sleep I am violently woken up my body literally jolts and shakes me awake and I feel like I haven't been breathing and my heart is racing... Now I have had a sleep study done which showed no sleep apnea or anything else except for sleep onset insomnia.. Does anyone else experience this?? Anyone know what it could be? I am scared to try and go to sleep again tonight because it just happened :(

What health issues do you have? I think it might be a good idea to talk to your Dr. Many DRs these days understand anxiety. I'm sorry to hear you can't see your therapist anymore. Have you thought about seeing another one?

Inwas in therapy from April 2011 to
August 2011 and then my therapist started working for the state again and was only taking patients one night a week which ***** because I grew attached to her and was finally starting to trust her... I haven't talked to my doctor about my anxiety because I don't want him to blame real health issues on anxiety so i am scared to tell him.. I can't seem to fall asleep after having this happen to me... I don't know how much more of this anxiety I can take :(

Yes, I think many of us that have anxiety have had this happen. Are you in therapy and or taking any meds for your anxiety?
