Than I would definitely have to agree with Scaredjo, having anxiety really heightens the affects of any sensation in your body. It is so easy to confuse the way you are feeling with anxiety, making the anxiety that much more intense.
Bum deal for sure! I love to have a few glasses of wine at night, those days are over, it just isn't worth feeling the way I feel the next day!
I'm not on any meds. Drinking just seems to make it spike the next day. Not good.
Are you on meds for your anxiety? I know alcohol can counter act the good things that your meds are doing for you, in turn making you feel anxious.
I am on Lexapro, and if I have a couple of drinks, my morning anxiety is much worse, my days are not usually good ones.
hiya i gotta be truthful here i love having a beer probably too much but.......if i have too many my anxiety is through the roof i think its because "normal" people just deal with it but us anxiety people are tuned into every sensation our body has and multiply the sensations by 1000 therefore causing more worry and anxiety. its a bum deal cause its like anxiety stops us partying too
take care :-)
Not sure if I have any advice or not....usually if I drink too much, I feel so crappy that it is worse than anxiety, all I can feel is lousy from the hangover so the anxiety takes a back seat.
Has this happened before if you drank too much? If not, it might not be the alcohol...don't know what triggers you're anxiety...could just be one of those days and you're looking for a reason why, and sometimes there just isn't one.
