Today my brother put a microwaveable plastic container in the microwave and kept it in for 30 seconds too long. The plastic started to smoke, but not catch fire.. I was in the living room, and the kitchen is separated by a door. No smoke got in the living room but i could tell something was burning. He opened the back door and the windows. When i opened the door he told me to shut it and i saw that there was smoke in the kitchen. I panicked and closed the door, going upstairs which is also separated from the living room by a door which leads to the stairway. The good thing is that all the rooms in the house are isolated by doors so the smoke never traveled further then the kitchen, but nonetheless is still breathed it in a little. Its 3 am right now but I can still smell the plastic in the kitchen. Could this have damaged my lungs and could it affect my long term health? Thanks
EDIT: My brother should be the one worrying actually since it was him who was breathing the stuff in but still, could this have had any heath affects.
