Ativan dosage question

I know this is better asked to a doctor, but I'd like to know is it possible to take Ativan 1mg in the morning and 2mg at bedtime, and be able to build up a steady state over time? (meaning have a consistent level in the blood)

Thanks,
~ Andy

We are not doctors and cannot advise on dosage.  However on the other hand, Ativan is a short acting drug and does not stay in your system long enough to be a good drug to build a steady state.  You need to talk to your doctor and tell him what your goals are concerning your meds.  He can then help you make the right decision on what drug and how often.

You're correct........we cannot advise you on when and how to take your medication.  All questions regarding dosage should be directed to your prescribing doctor.
