Benzo- Why can't I sleep more then a hour?

Hi I'm Ari  I've had such a crazy 9 months of so many medications. I didn't have a problem sleeping but when i was put on a antibotics everything changed. I've been on so many medications. None have allowed me to really sleep. I think my brain is damaged from all the medications. I'm on .25 clonzepam and 25mg doxepin. Nothing puts me out. I was previously on 200mg Seroquel, 25 trazadone and 1mg clonzepam. i didn't get much sleep with this either. I don't know how to get off these medications if I cant sleep much. Has anyone experienced this? Or can anyone advise me? Ive seen a naturopathic, pychartist whose putting me on amino acids. I do get 3 hours that way. I know I have to get off these medications. I want to go back to my normal self again. I'm now on .25 clonzepam and 25mg doxepin. Ive raise doxepin for more sleep but it doesn't work.

If this happened after taking antibiotics, did you ever take a high quality probiotic supplement from the refrigerated section of your best local health food store?  Antibiotics kill off beneficial bacteria, including those that manufacture some of our B vitamins and some that help regulate our emotional health.  That might explain why the sleep problem developed after taking an antibiotic.  Other ways to rebuild your beneficial colonies is to eat cultured foods such as kim chi.  As for sleep aids, it's very hard to successfully use natural medicine when you're also on medication.  Generally, natural practitioners would want you to quit the meds, eat better, exercise more, get therapy, meditate, etc. along with taking the natural remedies.  Part of your problem might also be a rebound insomnia that can follow taking drugs to help you sleep, especially drugs that have the side effect of making you feel sedated but have their primary purpose as strong brain drugs such as Seroquel and Trazadone and benzos -- benzos are okay used as needed for anxiety, but when used for sleep they can have this effect.  I'm pretty sure you've tried melatonin, but that's the best "natural" remedy for sleep, and a homeopathic remedy called Calm's Forte can be helpful.  I hope you find a whole-life program that helps you even if it has to be alongside medication.

I should add, I'm not advocating you stop taking meds -- only saying it's hard to do natural medicine while on them.  They still might be necessary for you to function.
And one other thing -- I understand better than most.  I can't sleep more than an hour or two either.  My problem came with a horrendous and undiagnosed withdrawal from Paxil.  Haven't had a good night's sleep since.  But the genesis of your problem is quite different.
