No, it's not.  Sometimes this just happens.  Sometimes it's a minor thing called Thrush.  But it's not anxiety.

I absolutely agree with cubix and what everyone has said here.
MEDICATIONS SHOULD NOT be the FIRST line of help that we get for any issues that are related to mental health, and insomnia IS considered a mental health issue.
(trouble for ten or more nights sleeping without a good reason, like working the graveyard shift and then you cannot sleep on your nights off)

CBT therapy or DBT therapy- which is a type of behavioral therapy that actually teaches you skills on how to manage moods in a "mindful" way, and thus, will address all kinds of mental health issues, including insomnia.
Here are my suggestions, having been both a nurse AND a patient for all of these issues.

1. As cubix said, perhaps it is best if you go and seek the help rather than discussing it in forums like this where you are likely NOT to get the best and most helpful assistance for your problem. (of course there is nothing wrong with discussing it and getting helpful tips from others- there is strength in numbers!) But actually addressing the issue with a professional FIRST is very important!!!
2. STOP Taking any medications you are taking on your own, such as antihistamines,  so that when the doctor sees you, he can get a full picture on your physical and mental status.
(DO NOT stop any medications that you are dependent on, such as narcotics or benzodiazepines such as valium, clonazepam, etc without the guidance of a doctor!)
3. Start a JOURNAL- what time are you trying to go to bed? What feelings are you having when you are laying there? When you do fall asleep, how long do you sleep? How does this affect your daily life? Be as specific as possible- don't forget dates and times of your entries.

KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!! During those long nights, watch movies that comfort you (mine are Age of Innocence, Little Women, and oddly, THE WALKING DEAD repeats...zombies make me feel peaceful but I wouldn't recommend it! LMAO)
KEEP A SENSE OF HUMOR AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE THROUGH ANY ILLNESS.

Let me know how you are doing ok? I really do care- as I've been there, done that.

Agree.  While some antihistamines are sedating, using drugs for their side effects isn't the greatest long-term solution.  Taking drugs for sleep can also create a longer term problem.  Melatonin is a great place to start -- try 1mg, lower doses work better for most than higher.  A homeopathic remedy that sometimes helps is Calms Forte.  Make sure you get exercise so you tire yourself out.  But most important, try to learn some relaxation techniques, such as progressive muscle relaxation or meditation or breathing exercises which a therapist who is expert in anxiety treatment can help you learn.  Good luck.

You don't have to be afraid:) I didn't sleep't before for 2 weeks it was a nightmare:) But when i started to acept that i can't sleep it all comed back natural:) You have to accept that you have this thougs...they are only thougs they are normal thoughs like positive ones. Try to breath to relax get a massage:) You will get over it don't worry but it takes time. And as i told you get some CBT theraphy
for more help get some Melantonin:) It will help with your sleep.
