Can I take klonopin daily and prn?

For 3 months I have taken klonopin .25 AM and .25 PM.. Worked great but as the day went on I would become more sleepy. I cut back to .125 AM and .125 PM but it doesn't help keep my anxiety at bay every day. Could I add in another dose prn or is that a bad idea? I'm finding myself needing it about 3-4 times a week.
Also does anyone else feel great for the first few hours after taking it, then as the day goes on, feels like crap? So tired and in a fog almost. No motivation.

Yes I've been taking if routinely for three months, hoping the fatigue would get better, but it just got worse. Currently trying to lower my daily dose with an occasional prn when needed. Hope the prn dose isn't messing up my routine too bad?

No, while it's at peak performance controlling your anxiety, since anxiety is also very draining, it makes you feel good.  But eventually it wears off for most people and tiredness can set in.  This often goes away for those who take it on a routine basis, but not always, and it's safer to only take as needed.  Your body is your body and it reacts as it reacts.

Shouldn't I be tired shortly after taking it and not 4 hours after taking it? I take at 8:30 am. Feel great til about lunch then crash and can barely stay awake the rest of the day. If I go to a higher dose I can only imagine how I would feel!

That's one of the problems with sedatives -- they certainly take the edge off, but then you're often tired.  Klonopin doesn't do this as much as shorter acting benzos, and because it's usually taken regularly every day you get used to it, but still, it is intentionally sedating.
