Can't Find the Answer

Obviously, depression has long stories to come with. I have been in and out of the doctor with my problems. I've had THE WORST stomach pains for the last month, and in the last month have lost over 20 pounds. I try to eat, I have nothing wrong with my body image, but I can't seem to do it. My body looks extremely unhealthy and skinny now; I weigh 105 pounds and I'm 5'4.
So, I went to my primary doctor and he upped my dosage of Zoloft to 100mg. I have a scope in a couple of days to figure out what's in my stomach that's not allowing me to digest anything. He also sent me to the Mental Health group in our town. I went there today and it was a nightmare.
I figured going would help and I wasn't against it at all. I was open and answered all the questions she asked. She got down to the point that I moved from Maryland(Lacrosse capital of the world!) to a little Colorado ski town. Back when I lived in Maryland, my whole life revolved around lacrosse. I became a runner to stay in shape for lacrosse and started running races and training for a half marathon. That was the best thing that happened to me; it kept me close to my dad that had the same passion but lived 3,000 miles away. Now that I've moved to Colorado, this being my parent's idea, I can't accomplish the same dreams. I used to be the best player on my team and always getting better; now I'm the best player on my team and have no one to look up to. I play with girls that are so terrible that I got a concussion a month ago and have decided not to play, it's doing nothing for me anymore. It's not the same. My dream was to play lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University where I would study to be a nurse. That dream is no longer happening since there is no competition here and my grades have slipped to the lowest they've ever been. The problem is that the therapist had me say all this stuff, but didn't help me find a solution. I'm a senior.. I can't move back to Maryland and play lacrosse. That dream is gone. What the heck do I do?

I don't know the answer, I only know if this is important enough to you then find a way.  A lot of athletes also take a year at a prep school or a community college or smaller college and then transfer in.  The best thing is to speak to an admittance counselor at Hopkins and see what your chances are.  If you can get in, it's a heck of a school, and you can't do better if lacrosse is your thing.

I was qualified for the Anne Arundel County All Star Team and all that business when I lived there.. I assume you know AAC if you live in VA, so yeah I am pretty up to par. Wouldn't it be too late to do that in my last semester of HS though? Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.

First, if lacrosse is that important to you and your parents have the financial means, many people do move away from home to follow their talent.  Second, if you want to get into Johns Hopkins, you'd better crack down on the books.  Were you good enough to get on the Johns Hopkins lacrosse team?  I live in Virginia, and I know that's no easy thing to do.  But if you are, then you might suggest to your parents you can't get where you want to get to living away from the east coast where lacrosse is big.  Maybe you can work something out.  Lots of athletes do.  Good luck.

Also, how do I make sure my problems don't become such a problem that I rub off on my boyfriend?
