Celexa caused increased anxiety...normal? How long?

I have just recently started taking Celexa for anxiety, and I have noticed some increased feelings of anxiety...has anybody else dealt with this? And if so, how long can I expect this to last? I really, really want to tough it out, as living with this cycle of endless anxiety is torture...but does this mean I should start taking it, to try another antideressant, that may in turn cause me the same side effect?
Also, I am trying to increase my work-outs to help fight the anxiety...has anybody found this to be helpful?

It is only the 3rd day and my symptoms are getting worse...the anxiety is worse, and the depression is much, much worse...add to that some nausea (I had no appetite even before taking the meds, though) and I am not sure if maybe I should stop...I want to be strong, and stick it through, but it's a little worrying...not sure if I can handle a month of this...any advice...andbody out there have harsh side effects but who stuck it through (and had Celexa end up working for them?)

I was the same way when starting an SSRI.  Initially I felt a little more on edge whenever I started stopped or adjusted dosage.  In my opinion, it does take a little while for the body to get adjusted to it.  It can take about a month or so for the body to get adjusted to it, but after the adjustment I find that it can help tremendously.  Keep us posted!

this is normal for SSRI's, I was going to start zoloft or Celexa, but opted for zoloft, but stopped for other reasons, but if you give it time, this med should do it's job, but remember this med (like any med) is to help so you can WORK on your issues.

Stick with it and keep updating how your doing, I have my open journal, and the first time I took zoloft it changed my life!! panic/anxiety went away, because the med helped clear my mind to WORK on my issues. this time I elected to stop zoloft and work on my issues myself as they are not as bad as they were 10 yrs. ago.

give the med a shot, you may get good results.
