How long have you had these feelings/symptoms? If it's been weeks or months, then Ms_C has the right idea...........get a second opinion.
But if this has only been going on for about a week, I agree with your doctor that it could just be a virus, but it could also be a bacterial infection of the sinuses/ear/nose/throat. Did he take any cultures? Do you have a fever?
Your symptoms are totally compatable with a mild flu, a cold, sinusitis, or allergies. Depending on how long you've been feeling like this, if rest, plenty of liquids and aspirin don't help within a few more days, please get another opinion.
Anxiety can and does, as the above poster said, cause some incredibly weird symptoms, but I've never heard of anxiety causing a persons joints to hurt or getting a stuffed up snout. The dizziness and blurred vision along with your other complaints sounds much more like an infection. You don't mention any of the core symptoms of anxiety.
Feel better!
