Cymbalta - When will the side effects start

My doctor has prescribed me to take 30 g of Cymbalta.  I am trying to figure out when to start taking it so that the side effects will start on Sat or Sun.  I don't have any sick day left.

Could anyone share their experience please?  Thanks!

Thanks a lot for sharing.  Just thought that it'd be a good idea to be prepared.  If I do experience any side effect it would be good to have the weekend to get used to it.

Great advice from above posters!
I took Cymbalta for a short time and experienced no side effects from it.  But we know that everyone reacts differently to these types of meds. Unless you have had problems with these types of meds, I wouldn't worry about when and what will happen, because you truly won't know until you start taking it.  Hopefully, you will do just fine. This is an impossible question to answer.  I wouldn't necessarily assume that you will have side effects, and if you do that they'll be so severe as to cause you to miss work.  Try not to predetermine what will happen as a result of taking this med.  Thinking this way is frequently enough to get anxiety levels up and making things worse.  
I gather you may have had problems with meds in the past.  I would discuss your concerns with your doctor and perhaps start at the smallest dosage possible, slowly building up over time as needed.  Take care
