Hi everyone I have a question. Does anyone else have brief chest pains on the left side of the upper chest? I get them on right side to but more worried about the left side. It's a real sharp pain that last only a few sec then gone happens a few times a day. Had all the EKG blood work chest ex ray all came back normal. My dr says I'm low risk for heart attack. I just found out yesterday that my grandfather on my dad's side died at 44 of a heart attack. I'm 42 I didn't know him are my father but found out that he don't have any heart problems I have 2 brothers on 13 month younger other 2 years older no heart problems just over weight I'm a l little over weight but working on losing some. Is. It to late for me to turn stuff around? O and I'm an ex smoker been 31/2 years since I stopped. And I do have panic disorder . Thanx for the help.

Chest pains are very common when you have anxiety. I thin it's because all of muscles are so tense, including the chest muscles. You've had some tests but if you're still worried it might be more than anxiety you can ask for more in depth testing. Your Dr might have you do a stress test.
