I am addicted to BP monitoring almost 50 times a day. How to get rid it

Hi, 2 years ago, I used to live a stressful and unhealthy life. My body weight was 95-96. I am 5'8". I used to have spikes and palpitations with headaches almost every other day. My father passed away at 55 of cardiac arrest. Since then I am scared of Heart Problems. I consulted a Cardiologist and started taking meds for BP which USED to be 130/90 back then. I was told by a Psychiatrist that I am suffering from GAD(General Anxiety T.) I took the Xanax types pills for 3-4 months but decided to quit as they made me foggy and lazy. With time I reduced my weight and now I am 82. My BP in morning time in 120-128/77-82. I still take Med i.e. Olmisarten 20. The problem is that I check my BP more than 50 times a day. I check it while I am driving or working. When relaxed for 2-3 minutes, it comes around 120/80 with pulse around 80-90. Please help me getting rid of the BP Machine and also advice as to if I should continue the BP Med or Not. My family and relatives are tired of looking at me checking my BP everywhere every time. please advice.
