Facial numbness

I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in 1988.  I have been on a lot of different meds.  At one time, I was on 6 mg. of klonopin.  I found a new doctor and she got me down to 2 mg.  While I was going through withdrawl, I had numbness in the T zone of my face.  That was about 1 1/2 years ago.  I have since switched doctors and am still having numbness in my T zone.  I notice it on and off, but when I am actively doing something, I feel fine.  I have tried to tell my doctor that it is caused by stress and I would like to increase my xanax by 1/2 mg. once or twice a day, but she just tells me to see my medical doctor.

Have you had any paitents with similar symtoms caused by stress?

Thank you!

I have been dealing with severe anxiety symptoms for two years, and one of the most
disturbing symptoms is the facial numbness, it occurs mostly in the right side of my face during long spells and anxiety and panic attacks. This week has been the worse, it even makes speech difficult and strange. At times i feel as if I am paralyzed in one side of my face and that this is a serious condition that may become permanent. Has anyone experienced the same symptoms ? please help

I was just recently told I have depression and anxiety, and My whole face goes numb when I start getting scared or thinking to much about it all. I have been getting headaches and a stiff neck as well. Recently, I've calmed down about it but as of yesterday and today randomly my face went all numbing/tingly, and I don't understand why because I wasn't even freaking out!! HELP!! Someone tell me what this could be?!
