Feeling off-balance and dizzy is a common symptom of anxiety. Take it from someone who knows. Been four years. If the doc rules out anything neurological, the best thing you can do is not focus on it or worry about it, as both will make it worse. I wish you well!
Really? Do you still have it? If not, did you take something for it?
Maybe it's not vertigo, the feeling I have is always there, it doesn't worsen when I move my head.
But thanks for your reply, it was helpful.
Just to add a little insight to try and make you feel better....i had the SAME exact symptoms and I had an MRI done last week and it showed nothing. Same with the CT scan. I chalk it all up to anxiety. And I completely get what you mean by the dizziness. Not the type that makes the room spin but more of a weird sensation in your eyes.
Here is some quick, but I think very encouraging, information from the Mayo Clinic
By Mayo Clinic Staff
The signs and symptoms of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) may include:
Dizziness
A sense that you or your surroundings are spinning or moving (vertigo)
A loss of balance or unsteadiness
Nausea
Vomiting
The signs and symptoms of BPPV can come and go, with symptoms commonly lasting less than one minute. Episodes of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo can disappear for some time and then recur.
Activities that bring about the signs and symptoms of BPPV can vary from person to person, but are almost always brought on by a change in the position of your head. Some people also feel out of balance when standing or walking.
Abnormal rhythmic eye movements (nystagmus) usually accompany the symptoms of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. The ear plays a large part in this "disorder."
I am NOT a doctor and this is NOT a diagnosis, but it just sounded so much like what my son had several years ago.
Rest assured, if this is what it is, there are ways to treat and cure it.
