Thanks for your reply. My psychiatrist actually doesn't know what illness I have, she just keep dishing out meds so I don't know what's what. I'm on a waiting list to see a doctor who specializes in moods. I have had horrible reactions to almost every med, so I'm really weary of taking Prozac right now... :-( Took more Clonazepam today to cope.
I took Prozac for several years with excellent results. I took Propanolol, BP medication, and Ativan with it. I had no noticeable side effects, and when switched to a different one, no problems during the switch. I still take depression and anxiety medication, I have had to switch throughout the years. We usually don't know how we will react to a medication until we take it, as we are all different. Where one has good results with a medication, another may not. Did a psychiatrist diagnose you and prescribe your medication? If so, I'm sure he took into consideration your history with these types of meds. If not, you really want the most knowledgeable specialist to prescribe your meds like a psychiatrist.
Stay with us, there are many here who are more knowledgeable than myself when it comes to these medications who can offer great advice. Take care...
