Heart anxiety

Hi Everyone.

I have had heart issues for the past 6 years, I was told only palpitations
to get over it, finally in December they finally caught my issues and they
were electrical, afib and svt along with palpitations.  I have let them rule my
life for 6 years.  In January I had an ablation and it was successful for the
arrythmias but not the pvc's.  I was placed on Atenolol and get occasional pvc's
I just cant stop worrying about them and letting them rule me.  Would therapy
be able to help my constant worry about my heart or meds?

I was given every test they could,  SVT never happened on monitor,  I finally had a 30 day monitor and was able to pick it up.   I went immediately to EP and had ablation.  He was able to zap my afib and svt.  The issue of worrying about my heart non stop has brought on anxiety that will not go away.  When I excercise I actually bring on PVC's because I keep waiting to feel an irrgular beat.   I guess I have to make the first step and call someone regarding the anxiety, my regular dr gave my xanax but I dont want to take it.

Hi,sorry to hear that, but i think ur doctors should have give u all those cardiac test, including 24 hour holter in the 1st place so you wouldnt have suffered for 6 years,so how did they found out recently that you have svt ? i think both therapy and meds should be okay for you.

I was not diagnosed for 6 years,  I was having SVT and it was never caught on a monitor.     I have anxiety attacks over excercising mostly, I am afraid my heart will go into an arrythmia if my heart rate goes up.
