Hi, I want you to help me fight with this

hi, my name is KB.i am living in a third world country.my father was drug addicted.and due to that he never think about us. i was sensitive by nature. i have seen people loughing at me, in my child hood, it was very painfull for me whenever i see some one playing with his/her parents. because there was no emotional bacukp for me.There was no resources for me to go for as good education.but i never let down my self and right after High School i started working as a labour worker to meet the expenses of my studies. Now i have done Masters and even got a few reasons to be happy but i am on medicine since 3 years. i am taking Citalopram HBr. i want to leave this. i want to live like other peoples. i wana lough  naturally , not by medicines. please help me?

I agree with Paxiled.  Remember, that we have underlying issues for our anxiety and unless we have gained the long term knowledge to confront it and deal with it, this cycle can really take control of our lives.  Also, do not come off of the medication on your own...good luck and keep us posted!

The question is, have you fixed whatever drove you to the medication in the first place?  That means therapy, usually.  And is the medication working?  If you believe you no longer need medication, arrange with your psychiatrist (if you have one) to taper you slowly off the drug, as quitting abruptly can cause problems.  But if you still need it, then it's not time to quit yet.
