I NEED ADVICE....I'M FREAKIN OUT!!!!

Ok my name is monica. And i'm 29 years old.I have anxiety ok.But,recently i just started suffering the affects of it again.I have been given 10 mg of lexapro which i have been scared to take thinking it will just go away or that i can handle it on my own.I do take 1mg of adavan which does calm me down thank goodness. But,every time i talk to a family member they tell me i need to relax and what i have which is anxiety and probably panic disorder by now can cause a heart attack or stoke.Which when i get off the phone i begin to panic even more.I just had to take the adavan to calm me which has helped but,i'm still worried about it.I need some insight from people who have been in this and do experience panic attacks. Please help.

"which is anxiety and probably panic disorder by now can cause a heart attack or stoke"

Anxiety cannot cause heart attacks or strokes. It can and will cause symptoms identical, but it will not physically hurt you.
During these attacks they seem like the real deal, but it never is.
The mind is powerful.

I have been on Lexapro for a few years now with excellent results!  Anxiety raises your BP and when it's high it is affecting your heart, and kidneys among other major organs, and after a prolonged amount of time it can reflect in heart disease or stroke.  Your family isn't trying to scare you, they're trying to get you to understand how important it is to get this under control.  Lexapro will stop your panic attacks and improve your overall well being.  Fortunately you are young enough that you can prevent this by getting your anxiety down by taking the medication and also with therapy.  You can't handle this on your own if you are panicking over everything, and that's okay.  Many of us have felt we could do this on our own but needed help.  You have a choice here, you can improve on your life or continue as you are.  I do wish you all the best and take care.
