How long does this last.

I now envy people with perfect health. I had no idea the turn my life was gonna take in the last two years due to this disorder. It's nice to know that i am not the only one who suffers from this. I was always the fun person to be around, (still am at times) the person everybody wanted at there party. Out of the blue i started to have this overwhelming feeling of me having a heart attack. It started slowly and then build up to the point i could not go to work. I finally went to therapy and it helped a little and i was not taking my meds and feeling very good. I guess i was in remission? Anyway i have sinced relasped and just looking for a little support to help me get through this episode. :)

Hi Toots! Long time no see. I'm sorry you've had a bit of a relapse, but you know what to do............you'll be just fine, just like last time. So many of us go thru this up and down c+r+a+p.........it's exhausting, isn't it?
I've been having a lot of heart palps lately, so I'll be off to the cardiologists again here before long. I would give anything to have perfect health again. Wouldn't we all.
Be strong and know you're gonna be OK.
Glad you're back!
Peace

I am in the same boat, with constant worries about my heart, along w/dizziness. I really hate this. I too was getting better but relapsed. The feelings are so intense right now and I seem to forget how I felt the last time this happened. I swear, it doesn't make sense sometimes! Good luck!

Sorry you've be shoved onto the anxiety merry-go-round. It's NOT a good ride. But, as you've found out for yourself, you know how to make it stop.
Heart anxiety is VERY common amongst those of us with anxiety/panic disorders. And because our hearts do all sorts of things on their own, like decide to palpitate, (apparently just out of boredom!) we then become terribly vigilant about what it's gonna do next.
You said that this came "out of the blue," but I bet if you were able to think back two years, you may find that a friend, relative or someone at work had a heart attack. Perhaps they were very close to you in age. This planted the seed. 40 is by no means old, but it's an age where we begin to take stock, to realize that just maybe we haven't taken as good of care of ourselves as we should have.
I would suggest you see your doctor, preferrably a cardiologist, and have your heart checked out very thoroughly. This will reassure you that everything is fine. And if you're still feeling anxious, get back with a therapist and find the root cause of this anxiety.
I wish WE had some magic words to say that would ease your mind, but we don't. Only your cardiologist has them.
I'm sure you're fine, but please note there is no "MD" after my name.
Peace

HELLO RAI I DEFINITELY KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, I EVEN ENVY THE DOG SOMETIMES BECAUSE I JUST WOULD LIKE TO GET NORMAL AGAIN.  BUT I MUST SAY THAT I FEEL MUCH BETTER IN THE LAST FIVE WEEKS THAT I HAVE BEEN SEEING A THERAPIST. I REALLY DO NOT THINK THAT YOU CAN PUT A TIME LIMIT ON THIS BUG YOU JUST HAVE TO TAKE IT DAY BY DAY AND OF COURSE STAY POSITIVE. BELIEVE I KNOW  IT IS SAID THAN DONE BUT YOU HAVE AT LEAST TRY. MAY BE YOU SHOULD GO BACK AND SEE YOUR THERAPIST.

WISH YOU THE BEST AND SEEPDY RECOVERY
