Is it just me or does every commercial seem to be taking about heart stuff.. Do scary and I was reading on here and some lady said her sister died of a heart tumor and had every heart test and ended up dying because they never caught the heart tumor.  This really scared me, because I've been having chest pressure and pain for the last 2 months.

I've been better with not searching the internet, at one point I didn't even get on the internet that was abt a week ago, I thought I was feeling better but I guess not, now I'm back at route 1 again, everyday it's a diff feeling yesterday it was left arm pain now today it's back with the pressure in center if chest that is constant. I hope all is well with you.

When someone is anxious, they will always be hyper aware of the things they're anxious about.  If you didn't have this preoccupation with heart health, you wouldn't even think twice when you saw those types of commercials.  But, since it's on your mind a lot, it seems like you see it or hear it everywhere.  It makes an impact on you, where otherwise it wouldn't.

I see that a lot with the folks who have HIV anxiety, they start noticing all kinds of things that they think is some kind of reference to HIV, or HIV related signs, commercials, etc and when their anxiety is out of control, they translate those things into them being significant in some way, like a "sign" or something.

Anxiety really works a number on us.  The best thing you can do is to dismiss those thoughts as best as you can.  If you're watching TV and see something heart related, change the channel, and of course, don't search the internet about it (how are you doing with that?  I know you were having difficulty controlling the urge to google heart issues)

Hey, that's how they sell this stuff -- they get you to ask your doctor for a drug and many docs will just give you the drug to get you off their to do list.  The reason you see so many heart drugs I don't understand, since drugs are advertised for virtually everything that can go wrong, so maybe you are keying in on this particular thing.

Omg same here! Everything I see it here is something about the heart. Then I think is these signs or something .

Its weird and I forget the medical terminology for it but when you think or hear about something it seems that everywhere you turn you will be running into that exact thing...
