Lorazepam + methylphenidate

My doctor recently put on methylphenidate for my resistant depression and today was the first day I took it, I felt super for the first 3 hours maybe, but then a little shaky and fatigue, is this normal on the first day? I also take lorazepam for my severe anxiety and i want to know if there's any adverse reaction, I mean my psychiatrist put me on this just want to know if my reaction is normal, other than that the first 3 hours I felt super fine the depression decrease tremendously. And felt like doing lots of stuff.
Hope you have a great day.

That drug is a strong stimulant that is controversial when used for depression but not unheard of.  It's main use is for ADD.  It's an upper, basically.  Normally, this can cause anxiety in a person without it, so it wouldn't normally be given to someone with anxiety, but it appears you've tried a lot of drugs for your depression and I'm guessing your psychiatrist believes your anxiety is caused by your depression, something that is very common.  I would just watch out for whether your anxiety goes way up, and I would also think your Lorazepam question should be posed to your psychiatrist but I would guess he'd think it's fine since this drug is so speedy.  Hope it's the answer for you.

Thanks for the answer, it helped me, since this drug is extended release and after being only 3 hours hype and the rest sleepy made me wonder but let's see what happen next. Thanks :)
