Medical induced anxiety

Hi, I never experienced any anxiety my entire life, to be honest don't know what it is.  But since I've developed diabetes, my thyroid removed, I experience a severe nervous condtion.  Don't know if it's anxiety or something else.  Feels like my body is being electrocuted or I drank 50 cups of coffee, an overdose of caffeine, but I don't drink caffeine.  I'll tense up really bad, all my muscles will get severly tight, occassionally my chest will hurt, from muscle tightness, other then that no pain, just super tight/stiff all over my body.  The sensation comes and goes, someday's better then others, but the nervous condition is alway's there.  Symptom is driving me nuts, I have no idea, what's causing.  Diabetic/hormone leves in normal range.  Appears my body is deficient in vitamins or something.  Seems to cycle every few weeks, like nervous condition for 3 weeks, then disappear for 3 weeks, then return.  I tried Cyclobenzaprine to reduce muscle tightness, stiffness, tension, but all med does is knocks me out, upon waking nothing changed.  Has anyone experienced, unexplainable nervous condition ? causing tight/stiff muscles.  What relieved, etc.... Thanks for any assistance.

Hi, thanks friend.  I just read diabetes or infections can cause the symptom, muscle tightness/anxiety like feeling.  I have noticed everytime my diabetes or hormones go out of wack, I develop infections.

It's possible you thyroid medication is at the wrong levels.  It's possible they didn't address all your thyroid hormones; most times they just go after one or two.  Could be related to your illness.  If you don't feel your docs are giving you enough attention maybe see different specialists for another opinion, as blood sugar problems and thyroid problems are a big cause of physiological anxiety.
