The other doc was aware I was given a prescription.  She gavve me the other to take before I start my mestrual cycle.  This is the whole reason I dont want to take any meds, it seems like they just give you a med and dont want to do anything else.  I think Im going to ask my therapist to have me see there doc and just be on what they recommend.  Im not a guinea pig and I dont want to have to go through it!!

You have to coordinate your medical care.  It is dangerous to have two doctors prescribing for the same problem.  The second doctor that prescribed should have been alerted to the first script.  Then your doctor's have the knowledge they need to prescribe other meds.  Please be careful when you have both doctors prescribing.

Why were you given two scripts?  You and your doctor should have decided which one to try first.  This is not a decision for you to make alone. Most doctors would never write two scripts for drugs you can't take together.

P.S.  My doctor also suggested the Prozac because my aunt has been taking it for years and she said that often, family members tolerate the same medications well.  Is there anyone in your family on something?  That may help you and your doctor decide whether you should try one medication over another.

Hey there, I know this won't help much but I'm in the same boat.  I used to take Zoloft which my body responded to very well.  It helped my OCD to the point where eventually I was able to wean off of it (in order to get pregnant the time).  My only complaint was that it did make me noticably more tired.  As a result, my doctor has suggested I try Prozac (since recently I've had some anxiety again) and I've only taken it one day and feel horrible.  The medicine cannot possibly be affecting me yet, so I'm thinking perhaps I ate something that didn't agree with me....anyway, I will let you know how it's going on the Prozac and I'm anxious to hear what other posts you will receive.  Good luck!
