Is it ok to take cymbalta with ambien or other sleeping meds?

It is good to hear there is someone else like me I also still refuse to believe it is anixety causing this.  I t took me a year to try the cymbalta because I refuse to believe it.  I couldnt take the breathing problems anymore.  There is a condition called dysaunamia there is a forum for it here on med help I still think it could be that because cymbalta also helps that.  Alot of people with aniexety and depression cymbalta makes worse.  So, I dont know.  Like you I had every test done including alot from natural docs who I had to pay myself.  I still get the bresthing problem a little if I have sugur caffeine or too much heat. How about you, any of that.  Even if it is anxety I think it has something to do with the way our adrenal glands are work ing or not working.  Especially after you have a baby, stay up all night and starve yourself.  It can mess up your adrenals and your thyroid so maybe the cymbalta balances out that system.  That is what my doc thinks.  As for the weight do you think it is from eating or the pill?  I had all of those symptopms you had and what ***** is I run my own business and have to work full time and try to look good every day.  I own a salon, my website is salon-lux.com.  Anyway at least you get to stay home.  Just keep taking your meds sleep as much as possible and eat a balanced diet stay away from the suger and enjoy your baby.

I had so many symptoms. Chest pains, pains shooting up my arms, couldn't breath, cold hands and feet, poor circulation, ripping pain up my abdomen (which led me to think it was my aorta), pins and needles, dizziness, the list goes on and on. I struggled so much to deal with the fact that anxiety CAN and does do that to you. I have spent all of our money on private tests and we are now in debt as my husband couldn't work i was such a mess. I ended up in a psychiatric clinic for five weeks in the end.
2 stone is about 28 lbs and yeah just a little over two dress sizes, I live in my maternity clothes and track suit bottoms now. I used to always look smart but now I am a fattie with no desent clothes that fit!

The biggest symptoms I had was heart racing, chest pains and breathing problems in the heat, with any caffeine, any sugur and when I lay down that is why I thought it was my heart but they say no.  My symptoms have improved but not completely and I have NO APPETITE can barely eat but havent lost weight.  How much is 2 stone is that 2 pounds or 2 sizes?  Did you have breathing problems?

Yeah they put me on it because I thought that something huge had been missed and I was dying from a heart problem which later turned out to be an Aorta problem (in my head). Had loads of symptoms too, symptoms that I didn't think were possible through anxiety.
I've gained about two stone on it. I had a baby then didnt eat for about a month so lost all of the pregnancy weight and was back to my normal weight and now I am two stone heavier than when I fell pregnant. Just constantly hungry all of the time with the meds. Haven't suffered from constipation so I guess that I have to be thankful for something! I keep saying that Cymbalta hasnt worked for me but most of my physical symptoms have now gone and I only think that I am dying occasionally now so perhaps they are working after all.
Have you been tested to rule out a physical cause? If your symptoms have improved then it would suggest that it is anxiety as anti dreppresants to not suppress an actual physical problem within your body.

So is that why you are on cynbalta cause you think you are dying?  I thought the same thing but only because I had some horrible crazy symptoms.  I now think  though that it is and endocrine thing since that does control all your bodily functions.  The cymbalta is either evening something out or masking a situation.  Do you like it and have you gained any weight from it?  I find it very hard to even eat anything on it , the contipation is awful but I still havent lost weight.

I am on Cymbalta and i have taken sleeping pills with it but these were prescibed by a doctor who knew exactly what I was taking and prescribed something that mixes well with Cymbalta. I t is really a question that you need to ask your doctor but if he/she prescribed them to you then I am sure that they are fine to take with Cymbalta as if they weren't then they would not have given them to you.
