My GAD

Hi my name is M (just call me M) and I have GAD.I have had GAD for about 5-6 years now and I am 13 years old so I've had it for a while.

When I feel anxious my hands sweat, well actually they constantly sweat but when I am worried thet sweat more...ANYWAY I don't really drink at all (mabye 2 glasses a day AT MOST) and I don't feel thirsty or any symptoms of dehydration..is this dangerous?

P.S.I do get small headaches and moderate leg cramps

And get your thyroid checked.  Not just TSH, but T3 and T4 as well.

First let me say that you really need to talk to your DR about these symptoms, esp. regular headaches and leg cramps.  Also, most people need 8 glasses of water daily to keep their body well hydrated and detoxed, unless specified by a DR.

Drinking less water won't necesarily make your hands sweat less. Some people just have hands that sweat more regardless of anxiety.  There are things that can be done or suggested by your DR so your hands sweat less!

And, yes getting dehydrated depending on the severity can be very dangerous to especially your heart.  Leg cramps could indicated lack of electrolytes like potassium and magnesium.

Please talk to your parents and make a DR appointment.  There really are all kinds of products and even a procedure the DR could do to stop the hand sweating if it bothers you that much.
Good Luck M
