Nausea for eight days...?

Last Saturday, after a very long week and stressful weekend, I started to have a lot of nausea which resulted in vomiting five times that evening. Woke up the next day, feeling a little bit better, yet having no appetite. Monday was fine, ate lunch, then had a lot of diarrhea and vomited that night only once. Tuesday, fine but no appetite, dealing with a lot of anxiety. Wednesday, thought maybe I was withdrawing from my anxiety medication which was causing the nausea, since I hadn't taken it since Saturday night, in fear of it making me more sick. Took the anxiety medication and all was well. Thursday, very very watery diarrhea with a little nausea and no appetite. Woke up that night having a panic attack. Friday, completely fine, appetite somewhat back, until I sat in the back seat of a car and had severe nausea for about five hours with no appetite a long with lightheadedness. Saturday (yesterday), I was completely fine, with my appetite back almost 100%. I woke up this morning with a lot of indigestion and not as great of an appetite. We have thought these symptoms could be withdrawal from Mirtzapine, as I had stopped it completely about two weeks ago. I am on anxiety medicine and a new anti-anxiety to make up for the Mirtzapine and see no negative side effects from it. What could this be? I also have a goiter on my thyroid and show symptoms to have hyper-thyroid, but I have been on synthroid for about four months which is causing the goiter to shrink.

It would have been best to taper your old anxiety med. I do think you could be having withdrawals on top of starting a new med.
When will you be going in to have thyroid testing done? You may need an increase or decrease in you meds. Your thyroid numbers need to be checked on a very regular basis.

I would think the digestion issues are more likely a side effect of your new med than a "withdrawal effect" from quitting your old one. Maybe the panic attack COULD be a sign that you need the old med and the new one is not kicking in, but you need to see a professional for the correct diagnosis. Have you discussed this with your pharmacist or doc?
