There's a homeopathic remedy called Calm's Forte. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it has no side effects. Another called Quietude by Boiron, I think. You can find them in your local health food store. Good for racing thoughts, sometimes.
No problem. Like I said, POSITIVE it's just anxiety. =) And the more you worry about it... the harder it is to get out of... so try not to worry or think about it.
I really thought something was seriously wrong. If it gets worse i will most defiantly go to a therapist
I agree with Cnote, I sometimes have a problem falling asleep and notice when I try to fall asleep, I cant because im trying so hard to sleep, my mind is constantly running. If you focus on something as Cnote mentioned your more likely to fall asleep, try reading a book. Keep your mind focused so it cant run wild. Anxiety does alot to your mind, and it can cause you to keep thinking and keep you up at night. I think its just anxiety, but if this is becoming a problem for you, definately go see someone a therapist or doctor. Most times, we are experiencing anxiety because of an underlying issue...and seeing a therapist can maybe help you discover the root cause, and you may get some relief from knowing what it is that is causing you not to sleep because then you can tackle the problem and relieve your anxiety and hopefully get some sleep !!! Best wishes!
It's not schzophrenia. I do the same thing when I have anxiety.... this is a very very common symptom... I call it "constant mind chatter". Sometimes we just can't shut our minds off.
Look up the symptoms of anxiety here on the forum... you'd be amazed what anxiety can do... on the top right, click on HEALTH PAGES tab. Then click on the anxiety symptoms link. I think you will be enlightened.
Do you eventually fall asleep? If this becomes a problem, and it effects you everynight... I'd recommend seeing a Dr.... or a therapist. There are plenty of things you can do to calm those thoughts.
Also, try crawling into bed at night... and instead of turning on the tv... lay there and do an easy crossword puzzle til you fall asleep... that helps me a lot. Takes my mind off things... and then eventually I'll just throw the book down and crash out.
Take care!! Let us know how ya do. =)
But remember, you're not a schizophrenic lol. That's just your anxiety playing with you.
