Welp, my ENT just said it was and gave me something to try that worked for me. I will tell you what it is---- a reverse ear pop. You hold your nose and then blow and it will pop your ears. Then I found I had to open my mouth and kind of pop my ears a bit. I did this many many times a day for maybe a week. Then less so the second week but still did it. I swear, I felt so much better.
I had ears that would ring, sounding of ocean when I rolled over in bed, my hearing would pop in and out occasionally, dizziness and occasional vertigo that would floor me. I was on my way to being tested for Meniere's and this was something they wanted me to try. This was about 4 years ago and again, I suffered from the above symptoms for a year.
so, try the reverse ear pop. Definately keep your appointment with the psychiatrist though. I think that will be really important for you. You've been thorough thus far and if it is anxiety related, that is treatable and you'd want to address it.
Let us know how the psych. appt. goes next week and let me know how the ear pops go! peace
Hw did they know it was your Eustachian tubes? I thought it was that becuSe my ears crack when I swallow and plug all the times. Bt he stuck this camera in my nose and said it was fine and they also did a hearing and pressure test which came back fine, I did the vng test as well. (Hated that) but all came back true.
Yes I was chocked out by an ent. He said nothing to do with the ears. I did 2 ECG as well so its not that. Have done and mri and ct of the brain and seen a neurologist.
I'm going to a psychiatrist to see what they say. But I'm basically looking for anyone who has dealt with this. To see what they would recommend.
Hi there. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this. I'm sure they checked your inner ear, right? I had severe vertigo and at times mild dizziness due to eustacian tube dysfunction. Vertifo was truly awful and I understand how that would be upsetting!
If you've had all things checked out (including with an Ear Nose and Throat doctor for those ears) and the cardiologist for your heart and they are now saying it possibly is anxiety related, what is there suggestion for treatment? Anxiety IS treatable. What are they proposing as your next step or is this the kind of help you are looking for?
