Am I having panic attacks in my sleep?

Lately I have stopped eating. I do not have an eating disorder but I am never hungery. I am down to one meal a day. I have not lost any weight not that I am trying. However, at night I am wake up feeling that I need to tell someone something important. I could never remember what it is. As I am telling it, it leaves my brain. I happens all the time and I wake up shaking. I tried writing it down but could never get the first word down before it fades from my mind. Iwish I can remember what it is I need to tell.  Am I just having panic attacks in my sleep? Have you ever heard of this happening to anyon

Maybe you are having nightmares about your condition, with the need to get help. Thus wakening with the need to tell someone. Tell them what? All about your condition. But you don't exactly know what you would tell people. Thus in the dream there is never the answer either. Our worst fears are played out in our dreams. I've dreamt mine many a time. if a doctor asked you to describe your condition to him, would you be able to put it into words? Or maybe you don't know if you have a condition or not. Henced wakening up confused. Wondering is there something wrong with you. All just guess work here. The more you tell us the more people might be able to help you / point you in the right direction.

Sometimes when I am really anxious, I have no appetite either.

How often do you have the feeling of waking up and needing to tell someone something important but not remembering what it is?  Is it repetitive, like every night or occasional?  You said you wake up shaking - what do you feel later?

There are people in this Forum that know a lot more about this than I do but repetitive dreams and/or how you feel when you wake up are IMHO important.  They mean something.  I've had repetitive dreams and it is usually something I'm not aware of when I'm awake but dreams bring them to the surface.  Like you, I usually can't remember the dreams.

If you were a Native American/Canadian, I'd have an idea of what to tell you but it seems like something is bothering you and you don't really know what it is.  Your unconscious mind, however, does know.

Have you had panic attacks before?  Has anything in your life changed?  I haven't heard  of having panic attacks while sleeping but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.  Those types of dreams I call nightmares.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help but I wanted to respond to your post because I have repetitive dreams too and they always mean something.  I'm sure there are a lot of people in this Forum who can give you more information.
