Off of Xanax

I never took more than 1.5mg in one day, and thats what i was prescribed.  Bout 8 weeks ago, i got off percocets and lyrica, trying to get rid of my dizziness and get my life back. That didnt work, so I decided to tough it out and get off xanax to see if that was the culprit. Well im 5 days clean , from a rather quick weening, ( .5 for 5 days, then .25 for 5 days, then nothing)

How long does it take for my body to get it out of my system? My dizziness and fatigue is still present, for anyone out there who has quit xanax, help me out if you could.

Ive had bad anxiety (mainly from thinking about health problems and the NEVER ENDING DIZZINESS!) but ive steered clear of taking any more xanax.

yea the funny thing is before i went in there and talk to him about it, i read for hours and hours about xanax, w/d and seizures. Then when I went in and asked him about it, he said that i was on such a low dose to just stop taking it....i went against his better judgment cuz I knew better. And the pressure from people in my family saying how bad xanax is and to just stop taking it...they are oblivious to why you have to ween...

Today is day 5 without any, so im hoping i get better soon......

look up the half life of xanax and then you can calculate, how long, my concern is your FAST weaning, PLEASE IF ANYONE ESLE IS READING THIS NEVER EVER DO THIS!!!! EVER.. anyway back to you have you talked to your Dr. about this fast weaming off? and if you did FIRE HIM!  hope you feel better soon, that dizziness and fatigue most likely is your body, you are a very very lucky person, that you did not get a SEIZURE or worse, This is not to scare you but to educate! after 5 days you should be out of the woods for any serious W/D , but please talk to your Dr.
