Difficulty weaning off prozac

Hi,
I am wondering if anybody has some advice for me.
I originally went on Prozac 6 months ago for anxiety and panic attacks. This was my fist experience taking any sort of psychiatric medication. I simultaneously did therapy  with a great psychologist and thought I had enough tools from the therapy (and was feeling so well!)  that I stopped the prozac 6 weeks ago.
i have been feeling terrible now for the past two weeks!
Has anybody out there undergone difficulty coming off prozac? If so, any advice? I would like to wait out the symptoms if I can, but I also don't know how much longer I can deal with this. (also, I don't want to go back on it because it takes away my libido and essentially affects my quality of life!). Can anyone out there relate to this situation?
Jane

actually it can stay in your system for up to a month, it sounds like you just quit taking prozac , no weaning off of it? thats never a good idea, all i can say it youve made it this far, just try and keep going youll feel better soon or....... you may need to go back on it as it was helping with the anxiety! sometimes therapy just isnt enough and it may have been the prozac AND therapy that was helping in a combined effort.

Prozac should be out of your system after two weeks of quitting.  You are no longer in the range of withdrawal, so maybe you need to take something after all.  Talk to your doctor.  Maybe you could go back on at a lower dose if you want to try to give it up later.
