PROZAC!

ive just been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder by my doctor and have started taking 20mg prozac daily for the past week-im just wondering how long will it take to 'kick in'? as i feel the past few days my symptoms slightly worsening-is this normal?
please help me as i have a chronic fear of going out in public with the past few months, its the strangest feeling! im just wondering will the prozac eventully help my fears as i was once so outgoing but now im stuck at home every day with constant nervousness!...

dont know much about prozac but i noticed a post further down might be worth a look
