Panic attacks after exercise

Hey guys, I had an EKG, and the doctor said my heart is fine. I have been absolutely paranoid about heart failure for the past two months. Im 19, and use to workout all the time nonstop. I think I'm having panic attacks. My symptoms include skipped heartbeats (it seems like my heart will just stop, then I panic) I have called 911 multiple times but when the ambulance arrives my heart is back to normal and they explain how I was so active and my chances of heart problems are low. Yesterday I finally said screw it, Im returning to exercise. I did a 10 minute ab/core workout and everything was fine. Then I rode my bike for an hour and a half. Everything was fine. I woke up this morning and felt find then decided I would do my core workout. About 10 minutes after my workout I started having skipped, irregular heartbeats. I think it was an anxiety attack but not sure. Everything I read says exercise should decrease stress. So I was wondering why and what would trigger a panic attack after exercise. It was a good workout and I had positive thoughts throughout.

Yeah me too.i had so many ECGs then a full bloodtest, then a stresstest and finally an Echodiagram..all came out fine...yet till now i still have heart pounding for most of the time.sigh i am too sick of this now..the doctor says its all because of my mind..when u think something is wrong with my heart..the heart pounds irregular..till u finally accepted that ur 100% fine..its the mind that control the heart..so i assumed u had a normal EKG so dun worry..and at ur age..u are okay..same for me too.. i am only 24..i think when i did the stress test at the cardiology section..all nurses and doctor were suprised to see me..cause of my young age..

My original bout with anxiety four years ago came from concerns about my heart.  I literally went from running over 40 miles a week to not exercising for months.  Anxiety can definitely cause palpatations and in my experience you can become so attuned to the area you are concerned about that you can feel every twinge, pain, skipped beat, etc.  If the doctors tell you are ok, then I would tend to believe the experts.  For me, when I was concerned about my heart, exercising increased my anxiety because I was concerned there was something wrong.  Have you had anxiety in the past?  Do you have access to a therapist, so you can talk about why you are feeling the way you do?  In my opinion, there is normally something deeper that can cause our panic/anxiety.  Keep us posted!
