Restricted breathing anxiety

For the past couple of weeks i have gone off my food and lost half a stone, and also for the past 3-4 days i feel as though my breathing is restricted and it feels like i can hardley breath even though i can it feels as though my chest is tight an iv been light headed and tired for the past 3 days too i think this is all down to anxiety but i wondered when will my breathing feel normal again???

I'm sorry you're going through this!

I'm not a med. pro, so I can't diagnose.  But the symptoms you've described can be attributed to anxiety.

Have you ever been diagnosed with anxiety?  When was the last time you saw a doctor for a full check-up?  Might be worth considering.

Were you trying to lose weight, or did you lose your appetite?  Low blood sugar or rapid changes in nutritional intake can mess with your body in a lot of ways, including dizziness and fatigue.

As for the breathing, I can share with you my tips.  When you feel this happening, close your eyes and breathe slowly through your nose into your belly.  Exhale slowly through your mouth like you're pushing the air out through a straw.  Hold that exhale for a moment, then repeat.  

Make sure you're eating as well as you can - combos of protein and carbs, some type of your fave fruit or veggie.  AND make sure you're drinking plenty of water!  Avoid caffeine if you can.  Coffee, sodas, a lot of teas all have caffeine.
