If you think it will freak you out then it might not be right for you. It just gives the doctors a better look at your BP when not faced with being in their office. It is more of a nuisance than anything else. I am glad to hear that you have had all tests done. Maybe just stick with regular good cardio exercise and even mediation and yoga. Deep breathing will help as well. Both with anxiety and blood pressure. I was on high blood pressure medications, 4 of them actually after I had my daughter. But I worked hard to not need the meds anymore and now no meds and I my BP avgs. 100/60.
THANK U GUYS!! AN IVE HAD EVERY TEST! BUT NOT THE MONITOR THINGY I THINK THAT WILL FREAK ME OUT!!! HONESTLY! :(
Have your adrenals tested. They are often responsible for anxiety and panic attacks.
I am sorry you are suffering. Did your doctor put you on BP meds after three seperate high readings? If you dont feel you have high BP and that it is white coat request an ambulatory 24 or 48 monitoring. That way they can get an accurate look at your BP while in your own home.
Some BP meds like Inderal actually help anxiety. Then there are some that can make you feel horrible. I think you need to see your doctor again and tell them you need more help. Whether it be medication change, therapy or something, anything to help you get back to living a life where you are not having to suffer so badly. You will find lots of support in here.
