SSRI allergy

Is there anyway to find out if you might be allergic to it or not a good candidate BEFORE actually taking it?

For the most part, I highly doubt it! Even if you're not allergic, you could still feel awful on a drug because it's not the right one! Studchick

Wow, I am not sure about that, I would think there certainly should be a way. Unfortunately, for me, I usually find things out like this AFTER I take it. Maybe do a google search and see if there are any foods  that might have the same properties of the SSRI, or maybe even other drugs that are related. I would also call my pharmacist and ask him/her, they should know if nobody else does as drugs are their area of expertise.
