Probably yes, but as the above says, we're all different.  You're problem is it's going to be hard to do much of a taper anyway off that low of a dose, the best your doc will offer is probably to start taking it every other day, but perhaps you can split the dose.  I didn't even know they had a 5mg.  But it's a very low dose and it hasn't even started to work yet, though the side effects start right away, so I don't think your brain is used to it.  Should be an easy go.

I would never advise stopping any medication w/out the advise of a doctor. Everybody reacts differently when discontinuing a med.
