I got some bloodwork done and I find out my results tomorrow. I've had a physical done as well and I'm as healthy as can be. But that thought of dying and passing out never leaves my mind. I know thats normal with anxiety butI have talked to my counseler multiple times. Its getting better and I can only learn how to fight it.
jul04 is right on about Magnesium. Magnesium deficiency can cause anxiety, panic, fear, depression, stress conditions, etc. Magnesium and the B Complex Vitamins are essential to handling stress calmly and smoothly.
Some of the safer and more effective forms of magnesium include: Taurate, Glycinate and Citrate (can be laxitative -- take with food).
The typical blood test for magnesium isn't very effective. Only 1% of the body's magnesium is in the blood, while the other 99% is in the tissues. And the body makes sure to keep the blood levels maintained, even at the expense of pulling out the stores of magnesium. The typical magnesium test is actually an Intensive Therapy Unit test, in a small, tight range, meant to keep you alive. That is according to Dr. MyHill.
The RBC magnesium test is said to be better, but it can still miss deficiencies. The best are the loading or tolerance test, but this can be hard to get.
Basically, magnesium deficiency is very common these days, and the deficiency symptoms are very obvious when researched. When a good formula of magnesium is taken, the effects are definitely noticed in deficient people.
Blessings.
I am so sorry that you are going through such a hard time right now. I agree that you should talk to your parents about how you are feeling so that they can get you the help you need to get better.
I would also suggest they take you to your primary dr for a complete physical and bloodwork up. Just to make sure some of your levels such as your B12 or magnesium aren't low. Sometimes when these levels are low they can cause anxiety. Also ask for a Lyme's disease test because sometimes Lyme's can cause anxiety symptoms too.
However I think that seeing a therapist is going to be the best thing for you. Having someone to talk to that understands is comforting. They can also teach you coping skills and they can get to the bottom of what is causing your anxiety.
Dealing with the anxiety is the best thing to do. You don't want to bury it and have it resurface later on in life.
Please know you are not alone and you can get better. Make sure you are eating right, exercising and getting enough sleep. Try to stay away from caffeine and keeping a journal might help you.
Feel better soon.....
Hi. You're not going to die, I promise. Although anxiety can make us feel this way! You need to talk to your mom or both parents about how you are feeling so they can get you the proper treatment. We all get anxious but when it reaches a point of interfering with our lives, this is when we need to seek help for it. We hear from a lot of teens having bad anxiety so know you're not alone. There is help, and at your age you can learn thru therapy how to overcome this, and ease your anxiety. Meanwhile try to stay busy, physically and mentally, fear feeds our anxiety. Talk to your mom, so you can get help. You're okay and will get through this. We're always here, understand and do care. Try to relax, and know you're okay, and it will get better.
Take care and let us know how you are doing.
