i have terrible anxiety over my dad dying.....please give me advice.....

I am 16 years old and I have really bad anxiety and I cry almost every night because I'm scared to loose my best friend... let me tell you a little about him problems that make me have this anxiety...... my dad is 60 years of age and Recently my dad had prostate cancer and it was slow growing so he was fine but he has sugar diebeties and now has liver problems and his doctor thinks it's from his medication, he has carpel tunnel and when he was younger he use to race dirt bikes so he's had a lot of broken bones, I recently found out he smokes and he doesn't eat right and that could be bad because he's has sugar diebeties.. I would just like to know of some advice maybe medical advice idk if I need anxiety pills or pills for stressing out but I can't even think about the subject without crying and have a meltdown. Please give me advice for this I could really use it right about now

No, you don't need pills, and they aren't advisable at your age.  What you're feeling is normal -- we're all scared to lose our parents.  But you get over it.  The advice to find someone to talk to about it was a great one, it will help you to talk it out.  As for your Dad, if he isn't taking care of himself, he needs help, too, but sometimes people are who they are.  You just need to be who you are, but if you're concerned about how he's handling this, he might benefit from hearing it from you and you might benefit by telling him how concerned you are.

I've tried to talk to him he just nudges me off and says he will deal with it but my anxiety has gotten worse and now all I do is cry over everything
Again, therapy might be the place for you.  Your feeling that people are judging you should tell you that you're feeling very insecure right now and that's causing you these problems.  Again, no matter how old you get when it happens, losing one's parents is never easy.  And again, you get over it.  It's like breaking up with someone -- it really really hurts and then you notice you've moved on.  Grief is part of life.  But in your case, because of how it's affecting you, I think talking to a professional would help.
Thank you I'll look into it
