I too get burning in my upper body (especially my face/neck/arms) daily. My skin gets red and it feels warm. My temperature is normal. I too noticed when I am in a warm room (or coming in from the cold and hence the room feels warm) that it flares up!
It can be quite uncomfortable and interupts my sleep. The upper part of our house is wamer than the lower so I have to sleep downstairs some nights just so I can sleep.
I sometimes will go outside just to cool down. Just sit on the front steps. or wash cloth with cold water, helps. At least to sleep.
My doc and therapist both told me it was Anxiety. I am not on meds. SO I am dealing with the anxiety with breathing, exercise, diet (no caffeine at all, no sugary desserts), a therapist, and this forum.
My heart goes out to you. I wish the burngin would go away.
Wish we could help, but only a doctor will be able to tell you what's going on and how to deal with it.
Please let us know what you find out, OK? If it IS related to anxiety, it's a symptom I've never heard of.
Peace

thanks for the help. i have this feeling all over the body except by legs. can u tell me how can i controll it?
Before assuming it's anxiety, I would get a good check-up by your doctor to rule out any physical health problems. Once these are ruled out, it may be time to look at anxiety, but only a professional can say this for sure.
I get something where my left foot seems to heat up. It used to happen at the beginning of panic attacks. Now it just happens at random points of the day. the only reason i have any anxiety when it happens is because it's a symptom I started getting at the same time I started getting panic attacks. Even before I started medication I got it. I'm gonna bring it up to the doc just because it's usually a localized spot. It might have something with your nerves misfiring, which can happen due to anxiety. Do you have the feeling all over? I would bring it up to the doc if you have an appointment coming up. It's probably nothing though. Remember that most the time with anxiety and panic disorders, it's usually in your head, or you think the symptoms are a lot worse than you think they are. Or that you may obsess about them a little more than you would before you started having problems.
