Good for you that you took positive steps to help yourself and confirmed your diagnosis of "white coat syndrome."
114/65 is a stellar BP and a HR of 58 is excellent. Hopefully taking your BP at home and getting consistant results will help lessen your fear when you go to the doctors. Keep a log of your BP & HR and take it along on your next visit. Obviously your doctor is not concerned about your readings or he'd be doing something about it. So good for you that you found a way to relieve your own anxiety!
There are many, many people out here with not only the white coat syndrome, but a morbid fear of having their blood pressures taken. Bit of a double whammy for these folks. Perhaps you could write a journal entry about your fear and how you took steps to overcome it. We could send people to read it and they would hopefully gain some courage, with your help, in overcoming their own fears. You could help a lot of people.
Congratulations! You should be proud of yourself. Do think about writing that journal entry. Pay it forward!
Thanks for sharing your success story!
Peace
