Sudden Anxiety Attack

Last night i was sitting with my family and out of no where my face felt real full and heavy like i couldnt speak, my arms were real heavy and kinda tingly. I am unaware if i suffer from anxiety. I felt like i was going to pass out. I went and laid down but in the mean time thought i was going to die or having a heart attack however i had no chest pain. After a half hour or less the pain stopped and i was ok except for having a headache and freezing cold and clammy hands and feet. I finally fell asleep and woke up this morning exhausted,my muscles have been sore all day,Also i have been diagnosed with cositocondritus that flares up when i get sick or anything. Please advise what is the best way to handle this.I did not and do not want to go to the hospital.

U needs to find out what trigger your anxiety attack. U might want to check with your doc. I found out my anxiety attack is due to acid reflux and stress. The following is what I post on other forum.

I had same experience before. When anxiety/panic attacks strike, u feel like dying w/ sympton like racing heartbeat, left arm numb/pain, headache, feel like pass out, fatigue, chest pain, & blood pressure rising. One occasion, I had a blurring vision. In 2012, I went to ER 7 times in a years for panic attacks. The only problem doc found is acid reflux that cos my panic attacks. In fact, I went thru a series of testing (EKG, stress test, x-ray, CT scan, & blood test). Everything came back fine. But they did find acid reflux on me after endoscopy. And put me on med. Now I watch my diet, exercise 30 mins a day, drink chamomile tea to reduce my stress, and get 7-8 hours sleep a day. Also try to forget thing that stress me. As long as u understand the anxiety/panic attack, u need to learn how to relax. Take control of the situation. If in doubt, do like crs281 did. Drive to ER and wait outside. If situation didn't improve, then check in ER. This might save u thousands & thousands of dollars of medical bill.

So watch your diet, learn to relax, & most important get away from stress situation. Everyone stress is different, but the anxiety/panic attacks are the same. Learn to live with it. Hope this help. If not, keep reading the forum and find your remedy.

I had another anxiety attack yesterday while I was in Wal-Mart. I was waking felt fine then all the sudden I got light headed, thought I was going to pass out, hands got all clammy, heart was racing. I finally made it to my truck and by the time I got there I was ok. My dr put me on celxa anyone used this before ad I don't live to try new medications.

If u have anxiety its a LONG road and it seems to get worst before it gets better meds help but im the type who rather let my mind focus on fixing its self it's possible to just get anxiety out of no where and it sounds like you had a panic attack which can be triggered by almost anything you should definitely go to the doctor and get an accurate diagnosis though.
