There IS Hope! :)

Just wanted to share that I got over my anxiety spell.

I have been anxiety free for a little over a week now. I was symptomatic for 2 solid weeks (14 days). My anxiety is weird. I can literally go MONTHS without anxiety. Not a drop! I'm a very outgoing person. I'm a filmmaker and actor. I'm not afraid of crowds or anything. But every now and then, BOOM i'll just get hit with anxiety from nowhere.

I lost 9lbs in that 2 week anxiety spell a few weeks ago. Now I put it back on already lol.

Life is great and amazing right now. :) It's crazy how anxiety can just cause so much havoc for a period of time, then BOOM just slowly lift.

I no longer take meds, and am grateful for that. It proves to myself I ALWAYS come out of an anxiety funk with or without meds. For me, when I get slammed with anxiety... I get in the mindset "will I ever get out of this?" It's like getting the flu. When you get the stomach flu or influenza, it's hard to remember what it feels like to feel good and normal. But just like any flu or broken bone... anxiety slowly lifts and goes away. I have taken the talk therapy route, and it's been amazing. And will continue this.

So whatever you are experiencing... THIS TOO SHALL PASS. :) Hang in there.

My symptoms in my last 2 week anxiety spell were the following:

1 panic attack (this set it off)
legs/knees shaking in bed
body felt like it was buzzing with bad energy all over
insomnia
tachycardia (resting heart rate 96-105)
Butterflies in stomach
No appetite
tingling finger
lack of motivation
scared feeling

All those symptoms pretty much NON STOP 24/7 for 2 weeks. UGH! But it ALL slowly lifted. :)

What I have found out in my therapy sessions is that my anxiety is pretty much just HOW IM WIRED.

I used to see some QUACKS back in the day who would think my anxiety was linked to a childhood trauma or something. The truth is, my childhood was AMAZING. Never had any of that. But some of these old quacks would say "well maybe it was that time at work when your boss was kind of a jerk to you off and on?" I'd just say "YEAH! I bet that's why I have anxiety."

The truth is... that's all bogus.. everyone in life loses their grandma... everyone in life has a co-worker or a boss who can be a jerk from time to time... EVERYONE. And TONS of those people don't suffer from anxiety.

IT'S JUST HOW WE ARE WIRED.

No life event caused anxiety per-say with me. It just boils down to HOW I REACT TO STRESS.

My therapist thinks that I'm a perfectionist in my creativeness. My career is filmmaking/production, so I'm always having to arrive on shoots/sets and it can be stressful, yet I love it!!! It's my passion. But as much as I don't want to admit it... I'M A PERFECTIONIST. I'm VERY HARD for me to be satisfied. I'm ALWAYS wanting to do the next BIG THING. I keep GOING and GOING. My mind never shuts off with ideas. lol. It's just WHO I AM.

So if I'm not careful... my body sometimes gets OVERLOADED without me knowing it... and BOOM... STRESS OVERLOAD... ANXIETY ATTACK... ANXIETY SPELL...

But I ALWAYS come out of it. I just have to work on preventing stress buildup... even at a subconscious level. :)

Thanks for EVERYTHING guys through my last anxiety spell. Especially YOU Nursegirl!!! :) I made it! No pills! Yay!
